It can be difficult to explain why a certain sight catches our eye and holds our attention enough for us to want to capture a picture of it. I think it's more than it simply being aesthetically pleasing. It is satisfying, often inexplicably. We don't need to have an explanation for everything. Sometimes over-explaining can spoil the purity of the feelings.....
The above photo was taken in Matsuzaki, Japan. We parked our car and were on the way to a soba restaurant for lunch when this corner of a drugstore caught my eye. I wonder what was once in that alcove. Why is it there?
